Josh Hart of the Los Angeles Lakers will be spending his time playing Fortnite in the offseason. A recent tweet revealed that the 23-year-old even bought a new TV for his girlfriend — a TV which he plans to use for the video game.

As revealed by Hart himself on Twitter:

Several of Hart's fans were confused by the tweet. Hart bought his girlfriend a new TV but he will still end up using it, making the TV still his, a fan observed.

Some say that he should be shooting a thousand threes per day in the offseason, not playing video games. Another one said that he's waiting on Hart' teammate Kyle Kuzma to roast him on his recent antics.

Perhaps fans need to chill a bit and let Hart relax. In his first year in the NBA, the 6'5 guard averaged 7.9 points 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. He shot 39.6 percent from deep and also became a notable defensive player for the Lakers squad. For his performance, critics labeled him as a “three-and-D player,” something that he did not necessarily agree with. For Hart, he can do a bit more than just defend and shoot threes.

Per Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times:

“I think I do a lot more things than that,” Hart said. “I think I can defend some of the best players , I can rebound, I can push it, I can make plays off the dribble and that kind of thing. I don't label myself a three and D guy because I'm not going to sell myself short.”

“I guarded DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, LeBron [James],” Hart said. “It's hard, don't get me wrong, but I think the biggest thing I learned is I can make it tough on those guys. I think that's the biggest thing. You can say certain techniques and all that defensively but at the end of the day, my mindset coming out of most of those games — besides James Harden flaming me down there — [is] I can compete with those guys.”
