Earlier this week, a story dropped that the Los Angeles Lakers didn't select Atlanta Hawks forward Omari Spellman in the 2018 draft because of college teammate and current Lakers guard Josh Hart's concerns.

The two played at Villanova together, and the article claimed that Rob Pelinka, current Lakers GM, passed on Spellman because of Hart's comments on his conditioning.

Obviously, Spellman wasn't too pleased with the story and tweeted his displeasure. However, it appears the two worked out their problems, and Spellman tweeted his apologies:

Hart had a mysterious response which could be conceived as a shot at Pelinka:

While Hart doesn't actually mention anyone by name, it would make sense that he was referring to Pelinka. If he did make those comments to the general manager, it's probable that Pelinka is the one that leaked them.

This is not the first time Pelinka has been accused of being a snake or backstabber. Earlier this month, former Lakers president Magic Johnson claimed that Pelinka “betrayed” him:

“If you're going to talk betrayal, it's only with Rob. But, again, I had to look inside myself. I had been doing that for months. Because I didn't like that Tim Harris was too involved in basketball. He's supposed to run the Laker business, but he was trying to come over to our side. Jeanie's gotta stop that. You gotta stop people from having those voices.”

While it seems like Hart and Spellman have worked out there beef, there is still seems to be a lot of distrust over in the Lakers locker room.
