Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Josh Hart underwent a procedure on his right knee patellar tendon and will return to full activities in about 12 weeks.

The 24-year-old took to Twitter to assure Lakers fans he's on the road to recovery.

In 67 games this season for the Lakers, Hart averaged 7.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest. The second-year pro was battling through injuries much of the season.

Hart shot 40.7 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from beyond the arc and 68.8 percent from the free-throw line. He scored at least 20 points four times in 2018-19.

Will Hart be on the Lakers next season? Los Angeles is going to try and trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis again this summer. When the Lakers tried to acquire Davis at the February trade deadline, Hart was reportedly part of the trade package Los Angeles offered New Orleans.

The first season of the LeBron James era was a disaster. The Lakers are going to miss the playoffs. The roster Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka constructed after LeBron signed in Los Angeles is a big reason why the Purple and Gold struggled.

Hart will look to have a bounce back season next year. We'll see if he's still in LA, though.
