The Los Angeles Lakers brought back a familiar face on Monday night, signing forward Kent Bazemore to the veteran's minimum. The ex-Golden State Warrior previously played in LA during the 2013/14 season.

While many expected him to re-sign with the Dubs, the opportunity to team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis was simply too good to pass up. Bazemore's reaction on Twitter says just how excited he is for this new challenge:

This was just one of several moves on the first day of free agency for the Lakers. They also reunited with the likes of Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, and Wayne Ellington, while fan favorite Alex Caruso agreed to a big deal with the Chicago Bulls.

Bazemore should be a nice addition to the LA rotation off the bench. He averaged 7.2 points on 41% shooting from downtown last season for Golden State and is familiar with the Lakers scene. His ability to knock down triples and play solid defense is seen as a clear positive for Los Angeles.

It even appears the Warriors were willing to offer Bazemore better money to remain in the Bay Area, but he ultimately chose the Lakers because he thought it was his best chance to win a title, per Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports:

With the Lakers adding these veterans and a third star in Russell Westbrook just a few days ago, they're making sure another first-round exit doesn't happen again. More moves are expected to happen as well, considering a lot of their roster is currently unsigned.
