The Los Angeles Lakers made the biggest move of the NBA offseason thus far with the team landing LeBron James in free agency. James has reportedly agreed to a lucrative four-year deal and immediately after that news surfaced another member of the Klutch Sports family also agreed to terms with Los Angeles.

According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will return to the Lakers with a one-year deal.

Last year, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was one of the team's late additions in free agency after the Detroit Pistons made the two-way player a free agent. He ultimately signed with the Lakers on a one-year deal worth $17.7 million. This year Caldwell-Pope takes a pay cut, but this time around he gets to play with LeBron which will almost certainly be a draw for other players as well.

The real question now is who else the Lakers brass will target in free agency. DeMarcus Cousins remains an option for the team as they continue to fill out the roster. Cousins is coming off a torn Achilles tendon which will definitely have some teams hesitating to offer a long-term deal to the versatile center, but he may be willing to sign short-term considering the situation.

As for Caldwell-Pope, the Lakers bring back a defensive-minded guard who can get it done on both ends. Last season, he played in 74 games for Los Angeles while averaging 13.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He also shot 42.6 percent from the field and a career-high 38.3 percent from the three-point line.
