Players come and go through the NBA, and even though these are professional athletes and make millions of dollars to play basketball, sometimes people forget that the players are people too, and they have emotions just like everyone else.

The trade deadline seems to be the time when a lot of those emotions come out with a lot of people changing teams.

That was made clear on Friday afternoon when Kentavious Caldwell-Pope bid farewell to Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr., both guys he made it very clear he was friends with.

Although Caldwell-Pope just signed with the Lakers this off-season after playing with the Pistons they had an almost instant connection.

“To JC and Larry, it was great playing with you guys. Y'all welcomed me as soon as I got here, you know we became brothers and played well together. It's hard to see you go like that but at the end of the day it's a buisness.

He then went on to wish the two players luck with their new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I hope you guys continue to get better and work hard and move on to the future…It's going to be great for you guys, just continue to stay focused and continue to do what you do best.

For Caldwell-Pope the trade didn't seem to be weighing on his mind on Friday night. He helped lead a trouncing of the Thunder putting up 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

He has had a solid first season overall with the Lakers averaging 13.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
