During a recent interview with Barstool Big Cat and former MLB superstar Alex Rodriguez, Brooklyn Nets small forward Kevin Durant admitted Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant used to have him scared as sh*t in the clutch.

Bryant, one of the best players in NBA history and an assassin in the clutch, had plenty of special battles with Durant when KD was on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kobe Bryant is universally recognized as the second-greatest shooting guard in NBA history behind only Michael Jordan. Bryant won five titles with the Lakers, two Finals MVPs and one regular-season MVP.

Everyone in the NBA was emotional after Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in January. It still doesn't seem real that Kobe is no longer with us.

Kevin Durant, who will make his Nets debut in 2020-21 after missing the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear, had a close relationship with Bryant. He and superstar point guard Kyrie Irving will surely be motivated to win the title in 2020-21 for Bryant, who attended many Nets games with his daughter Gigi.

During his Hall of Fame career, Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists with the Lakers. He's the best player in franchise history and will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021 with Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. The ceremony was supposed to be this year, but it got delayed due to COVID-19.

It will be interesting to see who presents Bryant at his Hall of Fame induction. Some early guesses are Vanessa Bryant, Michael Jordan or Phil Jackson.
