The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled the “Black Mamba” City Edition jerseys in Game 4 of their first-round series with the Portland Trail Blazers. Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love made a bold prediction: the Lakers won't lose games when they're wearing these jerseys.

Love made the fearless forecast on the Lakers via Twitter. Though it's a matter of wait-and-see, Love is pretty confident.

The Lakers organization initially planned to unveil the jerseys if they oust the Blazers and move on to the next round. However, earlier this month, it was declared by The Orange County Board of Supervisors to declare August 24 or 8/24 — which represents Bryant's two jersey numbers he wore in his illustrious 20-year career — as Mamba Day. The whole basketball world followed suit.

Love and Bryant became teammates in the iconic men's USA basketball team which took home the gold in the 2012 London Olympics. Apart from this, the two also became teammates in the Western Conference All-Star squad when Love was still with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Days after the heartbreaking news of Bryant's demise, Love came into a Cavs game donning Bryant's old no. 8 jersey.

As for the Lakers, they are not just gunning for their 17th title and continuing that winning tradition, they are also looking to win one for Kobe. So far, the LeBron James-led crew has been doing well. All season long, they've been one of the favorites to win snag that elusive Larry O'Brien trophy. Nothing will be given to them. But best believe that the Purple and Gold will strive hard to get every victory — just like Kobe.
