Vanessa Bryant revealed that late husband Kobe Bryant left her one final letter, and she waited until her birthday on Tuesday to open it. Vanessa posted a picture of the letter and shared a sweet message about the late Los Angeles Lakers legend and Gianna Bryant:

“Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi ❤️I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.❤️The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita- my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️#MyBirthdayWish”

Gianna's 14th birthday would have been on May 1, and her mom asked her followers to show support for Gigi by wearing red, Gigi's favorite color.

Friends of Kobe Bryant and Vanessa wrote birthday messages of support on the post.

“Sending you love today!! Happy Birthday Vanessa!” wrote Michelle Williams.

Vanessa's good friend LaLa Anthony commented, “That’s beautiful V. Today is your day. We celebrate you. We love you. We got your back forever. Happy happy birthday.”

Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and seven others tragically perished in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26. On Feb. 24, Vanessa delivered a moving eulogy to the Lakers legend and Gigi at the public memorial service at Staples Center. A number of others, including Michael Jordan, also delivered touching speeches.

Last month, Vanessa Bryant shared her pride in Kobe Bryant for his posthumous induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame:

Vanessa still has so much love in her heart for her late husband and daughter, and it's still nearly impossible to believe that Kobe Bryant and Gigi are gone.
