The Los Angeles Lakers have been without legend Kobe Bryant for the last couple of years, and while the franchise is still working on becoming relevant in the NBA playoffs again behind the hopeful wizardry of Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, their former star has had no problem staying relevant.

Just over two years after his retirement, Bryant won an Oscar for his short film, ‘Dear Basketball” and now the Lakers great has a new segment on ESPN called ‘Detail,' where Bryant uses his depth of basketball knowledge to discuss one topic during the NBA playoffs every week.

Recently, Bryant posted that he was going to look into Boston Celtics' rookie Jayson Tatum and his game, but one guy appeared to take a shot at Bryant by saying he probably didn't even come up with the idea for ‘Detail' and that it was probably ESPN's idea. Bryant saw that, and responded.

“Why? Because I am incapable of coming up with and writing an idea on my own? #dearbasketball #detail #myideas #moretocome”

When the fan responded and tried to explain what he meant, Bryant responded to that as well.

“🙏🏽 despite me calling them the evil empire while I was playing lol @espn has been a GREAT partner #moretocome”

Bryant's response was great, but even greater? He lets everyone know that he's got a lot more ideas coming in the future. This is something basketball fans in general will want to pay attention to.
