Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade is going to get a farewell tour this season, the same treatment Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant got in the 2015-16 season.

Wade is retiring from the NBA when the 2018-19 campaign ends after having a Hall of Fame career. The South Beach legend played in his first home game Saturday night and took to Twitter to get his fans excited.

Kobe Bryant, who is very close with Dwyane Wade, showed the latter some love.

Dwyane Wade is the Heat’s career leader in points, assists, steals, and games played. He's obviously going to get huge cheers at home, but he figures to get a lot of love in road arenas this year as well just like Kobe did.

Wade began his career in 2003 and has been a superstar ever since. He has won three championships, was the 2006 Finals MVP and has made the All-Star team 12 times. When it’s all said and done, Wade will probably be regarded as the third-best shooting guard in NBA history behind Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Dwyane Wade averaged 12.0 points in 21 regular-season games with the Heat last year. He began the 2017-18 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers but was traded to Miami at the 2018 February trade deadline.
