Since Lavar Ball announced that his family’s Big Baller Brand will launch his son Lonzo's first signature shoe, the reactions have been a mix of mockery for the steep price of the shoe and respect for the audacity to do things out-of-the-box.

Now, Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant is giving his thoughts on the company LaVar Ball founded as it tries to compete against other big-name shoe manufacturers.

“I’m all for that. I’m all for doing things differently. I just think you have to obsess with every single detail about that product…”

The older Ball has received a lot of criticisms over the past few months, for his controversial comments, and how he has shown the utmost confidence in his sons’ abilities to be the best in the game someday. However, there are also some who consider him a marketing genius, as he has given his family and Big Baller Brand plenty of attention, which helped them quickly become a much talked about brand.

The Ball family's company still has a long way to go before even reaching part of the success the likes of Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, just to name a few, have had but they can still be considered headed to the right path.
