Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is getting a street named after him in Los Angeles.

Per Herb J. Wesson Jr. of the Los Angeles City Council, Figueroa St. will soon be Kobe Bryant Blvd. between Olympic & MLK in Los Angeles.

As everyone knows, Kobe Bryant is the best player in Lakers franchise history. His connection and legacy in the city of Los Angeles will likely never be matched by any athlete.

Bryant, Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki are three NBA legends who stayed with one franchise during their entire career. Although there were moments where it looked like Bryant wanted to leave the Lakers, the Black Mamba ended up giving his blood, sweat and tears to the Purple and Gold and became the most popular player in franchise history.

Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists with the Lakers during the regular season. An 18-time All-Star, Bryant won five championships with the Lakers, two Finals MVPs, one regular-season MVP and two scoring titles. He has both his Nos. 8 and 24 jerseys hanging in the rafters at Staples Center. Bryant could also get a statue outside the arena in the future since Magic Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal have one.

Bryant, Duncan and Kevin Garnett will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. It will be interesting to see who presents for Bryant, but it will surely be a beautiful ceremony.
