It's official. LeBron James is going to the Los Angeles Lakers. NBA legend and Laker great Kobe Bryant reacts.

As reported by Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Bryant had a subtle yet meaningful reaction to James' commitment to the Lakers:

Bryant will definitely have more to say in the coming hours and days about James' decision. But for now, as a former Laker who has pledged support to the organization in the years to come, this is nothing but good news to him.

Apart from expressing his initial feelings, Bryant also flocked to his own Twitter account to welcome James and congratulate the organization:

Klutch Sports Group ended the speculation via Twitter, announcing that James has agreed to a 4-year, $154 million contract with the purple and gold:

James' fourth year is a player option. This is the longest deal he has inked since the six-year deal with the Heat in 2010. All his other three contracts were just three years or shorter.

Back in his playing days, Bryant had intense battles with King James himself. At one point, the two were simultaneously the face of the NBA — touted as the two best players in the world.

James' move to the Lakers is an effort to claim another title and establish his legacy as one of the greatest of all time.

Last season —  his 15th in NBA — James logged in  27.5 points, 9,1 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game with the Cavaliers. He played all 82 games of the season. Many critics touted it as his best year yet, even at 33-years-old.

Yet despite this, he fell short of claiming his fourth ring, as they lost in four games to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
