Should Los Angeles Lakers power forward Kyle Kuzma be excited to play with not only future Hall of Famer LeBron James but also All-NBA forward Anthony Davis? Yes. Is the 24-year-old excited, though? Absolutely.

From Arash Markazi in the LA Times:

When the Lakers struck out on signing Kawhi Leonard, many fans shifted their focus to Kuzma as someone who could develop into the team’s third star. Kuzma didn’t shy away from embracing that role when asked if that was something he could become next season playing alongside James and Davis.

“I’m excited for the challenge,” Kuzma said. “I’ve been working hard for this moment and I’m ready for it.”

Kuzma will likely be in a starting lineup that features the six-time All-Star big man Davis, two-time NBA champion and shooting guard Danny Green, and the 34-year-old James, who recently announced in the offseason that he intends to move to the point guard position for the Lakers in the upcoming season.

Kuzma's had a solid two-year NBA career thus far, but he'll need to be more efficient slotted next to a star-studded Lakers team featuring James, Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, and the consummate professional and veteran Green. The Flint, Michigan, native, drafted 27th overall out of Utah in 2017 by the Brooklyn Nets and acquired by the Lakers, averaged 18.7 points per game last season but shot an ineffective 30.3% from 3-point range. Kuzma told ESPN on Friday, too, that he's working on his shot.
