After signing a multi-million dollar deal with Puma, Los Angeles Lakers rising star Kyle Kuzma is now considered as the new face of the sportswear brand. Recently, the 24-year-old opened up about what has been somewhat of an overwhelming experience for him.

“For me to be a face of a brand, that’s a one-of-a-kind feeling, that’s something not too many people in this world have ever felt. For me, I really embrace it,” Kuzma said, via Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated.

Kuzma went on to say that he definitely appreciates the gravity of this honor, and that he believes this is something he deserves. The 6-foot-9 power forward has put in a lot of work to arrive at where he currently stands, and for Kuzma, this is him reaping the rewards of all his hard work.

“I credit my journey and how long it’s taken me to get to this point” he said. “All the work. It’s definitely a big deal, especially to a basketball player. You grow up, you see Michael, you see Kobe, you see LeBron, those are the faces of their brand. For me to say that I’m the face of a brand, that’s crazy.”

Kuzma is indeed one of the fastest rising stars in the league today. Being on a big market team such as the Lakers — and playing alongside the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis — certainly helps his case.

Let's not forget that just a few months ago, the Lakers organization did everything they could to keep Kuzma, and opted to rather part ways with both Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. This speaks volumes of how the organization views Kuzma's value, and obviously, Puma are on the same boat.
