Kyle Kuzma continues to fire back against his haters. The Los Angeles Lakers forward had a simple message to everyone criticizing his defense after the Lakers' notched another road win in their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, 107-99.

After the victory, Kuzma immediately hyped himself up on Twitter after he locked down Hawks' leading scorer Trae Young in one specific play.

Kuz posted the highlight and added a sarcastic caption “KuZ dOnT pLaY dEfEnSe” partnered with a middle-finger emoji. Yup, he went that route.

Fans of the Purple and Gold have to love Kuzma's confidence in his defense. The 25-year-old has always been criticized for not showing enough intensity on the defensive end, so seeing he's actually paying attention to all the noise should be a welcome sight.

Kuzma, however, still battles with consistency. After exploding for 22 points and 11 rebounds on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons, he disappeared in their close win against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, finishing with only 11 points and six boards. Against the Hawks, he basically was non-existent with five points, three rebounds, and two assists in 19 minutes of play.

Kuzma's talents are undeniable. His athleticism and versatility are assets as he can easily explode for a 20-piece at any given night. But many observers believe he's not always tapping into his full potential.

After signing a huge contract extension this offseason, Kyle Kuzma's numbers are at an all-time low so far. Before the Lakers faced the Hawks, he's averaging just 10.1 points and 5.8 rebounds on a career-low of 24.2 minutes per outing.
