Los Angeles Lakers youngster Kyle Kuzma appears to be reading a lot of stuff on the internet of late. Recently, the 24-year-old came out with a rather conspiracy theory-laden tweet alleging how hospitals are juicing the number of COVID-19 deaths in order to make a profit out of them.

Here are the exact words of Kuzma:

What the Lakers forward is implying here is that some hospitals are making money from government by purposely mislabeling COVID-19 deaths. In Kuzma's theory, he believes that some hospitals are taking advantage of the United States government paying out money for these cases.

To be honest, those are some serious accusations, Kuz. Looking at the comments and reactions to his tweet, it's apparent he's not alone on this boat at all. Then again, more people called him out for his outrageous claim as opposed to supporting his theory.

Paranoia appears to be one of the ill effects of the extended coronavirus quarantine period for Kuzma. Recently, the 6-foot-8 forward also took to Twitter to comment on the league offering players the option of wearing a “smart ring” that allegedly can detect the early symptoms of COVID-19. Kuzma may have been kidding when he said that the ring looked like a tracking device, but once you factor in this new theory of his, it does seem like he's wading into the conspiracy theory pool.
