Los Angeles Lakers point guard Alex Caruso shocked the basketball world on Wednesday night as he flushed down an amazing alley-oop jam in his team's matchup against the Utah Jazz.

One man that was not at all surprised by Caruso's utter display of his above-the-rim explosiveness was his Lakers teammate Kyle Kuzma. From one high-flyer to another, Kuzma explained why people should not be too quick to judge Caruso based solely on his physical appearance.

Guilty as charged. We did hear about Caruso's leaping ability, but until we saw it on full display on Wednesday, we must admit that it had been nothing more than an afterthought. Well, the 6-foot-4 point guard has definitely changed our perception of him, and surely, we're not alone on this boat.

Aside from his amazing highlight reel finish, Caruso also logged 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting, along with two three-pointers, one rebound, four assists, and a steal in 26 minutes off the Lakers bench.

For his part, Kuzma served as the team's talisman in this one, with nearly half the team on the injury list — including LeBron James who was given a night off. The 23-year-old took full advantage of is high usage rate on the evening, finishing with a team-high 21 point on 8-of-18 from the floor. Kuzma also accounted for two three-pointers, two rebounds, and two blocks in 31 minutes of action.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Jazz would prove to be too difficult a foe, as L.A. saw their two-game winning streak snapped by a Jazz side that is still battling for positioning in the West playoffs picture.
