Los Angeles Lakers stud Kyle Kuzma appears to be nearing a return to action following a rather lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a foot injury he sustained prior to the start of the FIBA World Cup in China. In a recent tweet, Kuzma himself provided a bit of a teaser for his potential return in the near future:

An official Kuzma update is expected Monday.

The 24-year-old was officially diagnosed with a left foot stress reaction, which reportedly was set to keep him out of action until at least mid-October. With the start of the season just a week away, Kuzma has a shot of being fit for the Lakers' opening night contest against the crosstown rival Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 22. This will be a big game for both sides, and the Lakers will be hoping to come at full strength as they face a very talented Clippers squad, though Anthony Davis is now also hurting and Paul George won't play.

In the meantime, Kuzma's Lakers will be back in action on Monday, as they face the Golden State Warriors in a preseason matchup. These two sides will be facing off against each other three times this week as they close out their preseason schedule.

Los Angeles had the number of Stephen Curry and company when they first battled each other to start preseason, with the Lakers coming away with a convincing 123-101 victory against the Dubs. Golden State will surely be out for some revenge, and we can all be sure that the level of competition will continue to ramp up as we get closer to opening night.
