Sports Illustrated's list of top 100 NBA players is out and there are some notable snubs. Among guys like Isaiah Thomas, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade are some other interesting names. The Los Angeles Lakers might have a gripe with the snubs of Kyle Kuzma and Rajon Rondo. Kuzma and Rondo are going to be two key pieces of the rotation in Los Angeles.

Kuzma might take issue with his snub, but he'll find his way into this list sooner or later. He was almost an afterthought for the Lakers in the 2017 draft after Lonzo Ball received all the hype and attention.

But Kuzma quickly caught the attention of the NBA with his surprising rookie campaign. Kuzma averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. These numbers were good enough to warrant a selection to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Look for Kuzma to build on this season next year.

Rondo may have more of an issue than Kuzma. He's one of the most gifted passers of his generation. He showed in the playoffs last year that he's still one of the smartest point guards in the league. His shooting, or lack thereof, is the deciding factor that left him off this list. But even with his rough shooting touch, Rondo is the type of player who makes everyone around him better.

Even without Kuzma and Rondo making this list, Lakers fans can take solace in the fact that they will have the No. 1 player on this list. Kuzma and Rondo probably have a case for the top 100, but they'll take wins over individual accolades every time.
