Kyle Kuzma once again came off the bench on Sunday against the Golden State Warriors. This now marks the third straight game that the Los Angeles Lakers forward has been demoted to the reserve unit with Anthony Davis still out with an Achilles issue.

The 25-year-old ended with a decent stat line of 12 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes of action in their 117-91 blowout win over the Warriors, which had him channeling his inner-stoic.

“I just gotta control what I can control,” Kuzma said after the game (via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet).

Kyle Kuzma's situation with the Lakers continues to be as unpredictable as his hairstyle.

The former All-Rookie first team member initially got the starting nod earlier last month when Anthony Davis was ruled out with his foot injury. Kuzma ended up starting the Lakers' first four games without AD, logging in 32.9 minutes per outing. Unfortunately, the Purple and Gold were just 1-4 in that stretch and Kuzma was again far from being impressive. This forced the hand of head coach Frank Vogel to bring the forward back to the reserve unit to help inject some energy off the bench.

After another loss against the red-hot Utah Jazz, the Lakers finally got back to the win column with two straight wins against the Portland Trail Blazers and Sunday's blowout win against the Warriors. Given that LA is now 2-1 with Kuzma coming off the bench amid AD's absence, it won't be surprising for Vogel to opt to start with Markieff Morris over Kuzma.

Hang in there, Kuz.
