With his sophomore year now in the books, Los Angeles Lakers stud Kyle Kuzma has definitely gotten used to life in the NBA. The 23-year-old recently reflected on one of his most memorable moments as a rookie last season, and as it turns out, it was a truly unforgettable encounter involving then-New Orleans Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins.

Unfortunately, we do not have the clip of that exact play, but we could pretty much picture how that went down. Cousins probably bit hard on Kuzma's fake, making it look as though the youngster was schooling the veteran. Cousins obviously took exception to the play and made sure that Kuzma understood what was up.

With all that has gone in and around L.A. this season, though, Kuzma's rookie year feels much more like a distant memory than it actually is. However, despite all the noise around him, the 6-foot-9 forward was still able to further develop his game from his debut season.

In 70 appearances for the Lakers this year, Kuzma was able to put up averages of 18.7 points (on 45.6 percent shooting), 1.8 three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 33.1 minutes of action. Obviously, the arrival of LeBron James in Los Angeles was able to boost Kuzma's development, as he has now proven that he is indeed a bona fide NBA stud with superstar potential.

Kuzma is currently still on his rookie scale deal, which will run until the 2020-21 season. However, it would not be a total surprise if L.A. use him as a bargaining chip this summer in their all-out quest to sign Anthony Davis. That is, of course, assuming that the soon-to-be overhauled front office keeps on the same path.
