Following the Los Angeles Lakers' Christmas Day loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Kyle Kuzma's trainer, Clint Parks, took to Instagram to laud Kawhi Leonard while criticizing LeBron James, saying “it's clear who's really in the lab and who isn't.”

That came after Leonard poured in 35 points and 12 rebounds while James totaled 23 points and 10 boards, the latest W for Leonard against James.

Kuzma then tweeted “call a spade a spade” after Parks' post, which some obviously took as a subtle jab at James (the tweet was then deleted). Given that Kuzma and James are Lakers teammates attempting to achieve the same goal, the situation could obviously create a rather tenuous atmosphere in Los Angeles' locker room.

However, Kuzma and James apparently aired out their grievances, and on Saturday, Kuzma assured everyone that his relationship with LeBron is just fine:

“I mean, it's great,” said Kuzma, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “When you're around people multiple years you get to know them more.”

People may have a difficult time buying that after what just occurred, and it's also important to keep in mind that James pushed to get the Lakers' young players traded for Anthony Davis midway through last season.

Whether or not James was okay with LA including Kuzma in the deal is anybody's guess, but based on how badly James seemed to want Davis in Hollywood, it stands to reason that James would have been just fine if Kuzma was shown the door.

Regardless, the Lakers will attempt to snap their four-game losing skid against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
