The Los Angeles Lakers, who have clinched the first seed in the Western Conference, might face off with the Portland Trail Blazers that's led by the red-hot Damian Lillard. Kyle Kuzma acknowledges how dangerous the Blazers are, but views their possible match-up as a positive.

The NBA recently revealed that it'll award the best performers of the bubble. Kuzma believes that Damian Lillard should be crowned bubble MVP for his stellar showing. As such, he knows that it'll be a well-fought duel in the event they face off with the Blazers in the first round. However, Kuzma welcomed this challenge, noting that the experience the Lakers gain will trickle on over to the next rounds.

“It’s not worst-case scenario. I think that anytime you can be tested early in the playoffs, it’s going to help you out in other rounds,” Kuzma said, per Mark Medina of USA Today. “So obviously them getting the eighth seed would be a very tough matchup for us.”

Several teams are still battling for the eighth and final playoff spot. In the West, apart from the Trail Blazers, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Phoenix Suns, and the San Antonio Spurs are looking to book a ticket to the postseason.

The Lakers are the best team, at least on paper. In their regular-season series, the Purple and Gold took it, 2-1. But crazier things have happened in the NBA. As such, an upset is still possible. And it certainly helps that Lillard has been on a scoring tear as of late.
