Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma still can't believe he won an NBA title in just his third season in the league. The 25-year-old shared his excitement on Twitter on Thursday, revealing how thrilled he was to accomplish a childhood dream he once had.

Kyle Kuzma certainly traversed a long, winding road before could finally call himself an NBA champion. The 6-foot-8 forward grew up in a small town in Flint, Michigan before making it to the University of Utah.

He was picked 27th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 Draft and joined the Lakers as part of the D'Angelo Russell trade. Kuzmania soon became a thing in LA as the fan favorite surprised a lot of pundits with his NBA-ready game.

Following that impressive second year where he normed 18.7 points for the Purple and Gold, Kuzma had to get used to a reduced role with the arrival of Anthony Davis. He averaged 12.8 points in 61 regular-season games and took flack online for his inconsistent showings in the postseason.

It's been an up-and-down 2019-20 campaign for Kuzma and he even found himself the subject of multiple trade rumors before the deadline last February. Kuzma still has one year left on his current contract, making him the perfect trade bait for the Lakers who want to bolster that roster for a chance to repeat.

But judging by his recent post, it seems that Kuz is not bothered by all that noise and is just savoring his championship moment.

He was once just a small-town kid who had big dreams, but Kuzma turned that into reality with hard work and dedication to his craft.
