Anthony Davis' injury concerns are well-known amongst Los Angeles Lakers fans. The All-Star center has missed significant time in the last few seasons due to nagging issues. His availability (or lack thereof) has arguably cost his team multiple title runs.

His frequent injuries have already made a few Lakers fans ticked off at him. Recently, though, Davis admitted something that will put him in hot water with the fanbase. AD made an appearance on a YouTube vlog by the “Nuke Squad”. As he was handed the basketball, Davis said that he hasn't shot a basketball since April 5.

April 5 is the last game that Anthony Davis appeared in a Lakers uniform that season. It was a 121-101 loss to the Phoenix Suns. During that game, AD dropped 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. After that game, Davis was taken out of the lineup, as the team was eliminated from playoff contention shortly after.

It's entirely possible that Davis was exaggerating when making this statement. His statement could just be referencing the last time he actually played in an NBA game. The NBA offseason isn't also solely dedicated to practicing: Davis could also just be taking a break and/or rehabbing his other injuries. However, his statement could rub many Lakers fans the wrong way, who may assume that Davis isn't practicing at all during his spare time.

Regardless, Lakers fans everywhere will all agree that Anthony Davis will need to come up big next season for the Lakers. Without him, the team struggled to field a good enough defense. The hiring of Darvin Ham could also be a step in the right direction for this team.
