During their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers welcomed Rondo back with a heartwarming tribute video.

Ahead of the 20-2021 season, Rondo signed with the Hawks in hopes to give Atlanta an experience point guard behind Trae Young. But before he joined the Hawks, Rondo gave everything he had for two years with the Lakers as a prominent member of their bench unit.

While Rondo's numbers during the regular season were never eye-popping with Los Angeles, he always turned up his level of play in the playoffs. During LA's postseason run, Rondo compiled 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.4 steals while playing 24.7 minutes per game.

In the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, Rondo had a couple of performances that helped the Lakers secure their first NBA title since 2010. During Game 2 of the series, Rondo contributed 16 points, four rebounds and 10 assists while making three 3-pointers en route to a 10-point win for Los Angeles.

Then, to close out the series in Game 6, Rondo notched 19 points, four rebounds and four assists with another three triples made.

Even though Rajon Rondo spent just two years with the Lakers' organization, fans of the franchise are still appreciative of his efforts in helping the team secure an NBA championship last season.
