Dennis Schroder has been a member of the Los Angeles Lakers for less than a year after being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder last November. And yet, he’s already shown loyalty to the Lakers, even defending his team against a fan in an unlikely place – the video game live streaming site Twitch.

Apparently, the incident happened while the Lakers point guard was streaming on Twitch. One fan apparently left a comment saying, “Nets in 4,” and Schroder wasn’t going to let it pass and issued an NSFW reply.

Schroder is an avid gamer who streams on Twitch and was recently part of the new live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone. With the Lakers being the defending champions and the Brooklyn Nets having a lineup that features All-Stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, a lot of people are expecting the Purple and Gold and the Nets to meet and battle it out in the Finals.

But Schroder wasn’t having any comment on his stream that suggests that the Lakers would just be dominated by the Nets, showing his loyalty to his team and belief in his teammates. The 27-year-old is coming off a strong performance in Los Angeles’ most recent game against the Dallas Mavericks. Schroder finished with 25 points on nine of 13 shooting, had two rebounds, and added 13 assists in the Lakers’ 110-115 loss to the Mavericks.

The defending champs. however, did welcome back All-Star big man Anthony Davis into the lineup after he missed 30 games due to a right calf and heel injury. With Davis back into the lineup and with All-Star LeBron James also on the road to recovery, the Lakers could soon be at full strength as they look to close out the regular season strong.

In the meantime, before the regular season ends and they begin their quest to repeat as champions, their starting point guard will do anything to defend his team’s name, even on Twitch.
