Once considered rivals, Lance Stephenson and LeBron James will now be wearing the same Los Angeles Lakers jerseys every game. Stephenson believes that James will have some special marching orders for him every night.

As reported by Dana Benbow of Indy Star, Stephenson shares what he feels will be his task every night.

“Yeah, he’s probably going to sic me on people,” Stephenson said. “It’ll be fun. It will be a very interesting year, just playing with him and winning games with him.”

Over the years, Stephenson has built a reputation as an irritating defender and an intense competitor who also has the propensity to go overboard at times. Especially when he was with the Indiana Pacers — a team regarded as the top contender to beat the James-led teams in the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Though Stephenson was not the best defender on the team (Paul George took that crown), he often matched-up against James and gave him an irritating time. While Stephenson had the strength and quickness to stop James momentarily, his prime assets were his trash talking and overall intensity. There were games in which James almost lost it because of Stephenson's nagging.

And when news broke out that Stephenson was bound to be teammates with James, people wondered how the two would co-exist. However, reports revealed that James might have had a hand in signing Stephenson. Despite all their heated battles, it turned out that James saw something admirable in Stephenson — admirable enough to want him to be a teammate.
