The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another embarrassing defeat on Friday at the hands of their bitter rivals in the Boston Celtics. This was LeBron James' first game back after a two-week spell on the sidelines, but not even his return was enough to help the Lakers avoid a 130-108 shellacking courtesy of the Celtics.

With how things have been going for the Lakers this season, there have been whispers of a potential midseason overhaul for LA. The Lakers' offseason revamp hasn't exactly worked out for them just yet and at this point, some folks believe that another overhaul might be forthcoming towards the trade deadline.

Channing Frye, who used to be teammates with LeBron on the Cleveland Cavaliers, caught wind of one of these conspiracy theories and the former big man could not help but reminisce about a similar experience he had during the 2018 trade deadline:

At that time, the Cavaliers were struggling mightily. This resulted in Cleveland pretty much trading away half of the roster at the deadline. This included Frye, who the Cavaliers sent to the Lakers along with Isaiah Thomas in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

It is clear that Frye is just joking around here, but you also can't deny that there's a bit of saltiness in his half-meant jab. Are LeBron the Lakers really going to undergo a major overhaul in the middle of this season? That seems unlikely at this point, but for his part, Channing Frye could not help but have a bit of fun with this.
