LaVar Ball recently made headlines once again after announcing the start of the Junior Basketball Association. The league will largely serve as an alternative for high school prospects to the NCAA and its regulations.

To no surprise, Ball has pulled out all the stops in an effort to promote this league. He started by revealing Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball as its logo on the officially Big Baller Brand Twitter:

The Lakers rookie already acknowledged the fact that he likely would have foregone his freshman year at UCLA had such a league existed. Although he will never play a single minute in the JBA, that did not stop his father from essentially turning his son into its version of NBA legend Jerry West.

That said, it is likely yet another promotion the elder Ball has used to not only get back at UCLA but the NCAA as a whole. The league promises to pay the best prospects in the nation anywhere from $3,000-$10,000 to play in the league.

At this point, it is safe to say that brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo will also be an integral part of the promotion process as well despite having signed professional contracts in Lithuania. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see if they can actually manage to attract some big names to help kickstart the league.
