It's only the middle of July and somehow too much time has passed before LaVar Ball makes an irrational statement.

Fresh off having to walk back his words after his middle son, LiAngelo, was turned down by the Los Angeles Lakers thrice (once during workouts, then again on draft night, and once more in Summer League) — the Ballfather went back to his delusions of grandeur, this time speaking of LeBron James, saying he was “too weak” to go up against him.

“Back in my heyday can’t nobody hold me, 270 (pounds) benching 500,” Ball said in an interview with Fanatics View.

Asked of any video proof of his weight-lifting feats, Ball was, of course, unwilling to provide the evidence.

“Don’t need no videos, it’s all up here,” Ball said. “You want to come see me back in my heyday? I was a bad mamajama. I’m going to let you know. My will to win was too hard man. Man, 1-on-1 I’d be on myself all day.”

James has yet to pay any of his comments any mind, but it won't be too long before these two have to meet eye-to-eye and Ball has to answer to his claims in front of the media.

Ball averaged a mere 2.2 points per game at Washington State, glued to the back of the bench during his illustrious college career, never making it to the pros.

Having missed out on his chance, he's now batting .500 when it comes to getting his sons into the league, with his youngest LaMelo playing alongside LiAngelo in the Junior Basketball League, the NBA's version of basketball purgatory.
