Though LiAngelo Ball wasn't drafted in the NBA, the journey still continues for 19-year-old. According to his father, LaVar Ball, his son's stint in the JBA (Junior Basketball Association) is an important component as his journey towards basketball's biggest stage continues.

For the Ball patriarch, there's nothing wrong with LiAngelo suiting up for a lesser-known league. For him, the JBA is a path that his son has to take:

“It's not even a yellow brick road. It's a road that he has to take,” LaVar told TMZ Sports. “It's nothing wrong with this. You want to play. All he wants to do his play. And playing with his brothers, just to let you all know, the chemistry is crazy. This beats running hills and just shooting on a machine by yourself.”

Despite the setback his son not being selected by any NBA team, LaVar's goal stands firm for LiAngelo and his brothers: he wants all three of his sons to suit up for the purple and gold:

“My son wants to get better, he'll do whatever it takes to get better,” he said. “The bottom line is, I want all three of my boys to play for the Lakers.”

A player can only sign up for the NBA Draft once in his life. If he's not selected, it'll be a very tough road to trek — though it's not impossible. In his JBA debut, LiAngelo dropped 53 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. If that's a good start, we don't know what is.
