Tell LaVar Ball that his son could learn from LeBron James and he will call you crazy right where you stand.

The very same happened to host J Cruz of Power 106 Radio in Los Angeles, who was shocked at the Ballfather and his reaction after he suggested Lonzo Ball could benefit from having a superstar like James playing alongside him for the Los Angeles Lakers.

via Kirstie Chiappelli of Sporting News:

“He can't learn nothing from Lonzo, and Lonzo can't learn nothing from him,” LaVar said. “What they gotta do is win together. They both know how to win, so that's the main thing.”

If you thought the crazy stopped there, there is always another thing coming when LaVar has a microphone in his proximity — as he refused to admit this was LeBron James' team.

“How is it going to be LeBron’s team? He ain’t homegrown,” said LaVar. “You say what you want but we know what it is… Lonzo didn’t go to Cleveland. LeBron came over here. We already over here.”

Lonzo is likely to finish as the fifth-leading scorer in his own team after James, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope — just judging by last year's averages. Not to mention Lonzo had shot a woeful 36 percent from the floor, 30.5 from deep, and a ghastly 45.1 percent from the foul line.

LaVar has taken this hype train as far as the rail goes, and after taking both of his sons out of school and failing to speak their NBA futures into existence, now it's time for Lonzo to put up or shut up.

Though we might have to wait a bit on that due to his recent arthroscopic knee surgery and the sheer amount of games (30) he missed last season due to various ailments. He is expected to make a full recovery by the start of training camp, but that leaves very little time to improve from his disappointing first season after being drafted No. 2 overall.
