Forbes Magazine recently released its list of the Top-100 highest-paid celebrities, and LeBron James wasn't too deep in the list, ranking No. 17 and as the highest-earning NBA player.

Boxing mogul Floyd Mayweather tops the list after growing his empire through several pocket-breaking match purses, his own entertainment label and boxing promotion, while soccer idols Lionel Messi (No. 8) and Cristiano Ronaldo (No. 10) crack the top-10 with a worldwide brand that put them along music artist, movie stars, and TV personalities.

James earned $85.5 million this year between his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and his many endorsement deals, coming half-a-million below author James Patterson for 16th place and $1 million above 67-year-old personality Rush Limbaugh.

The King's empire is only expected to rise after signing a lucrative four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and finding a new home in La La Land, as LABron has not only taken the City of Angels by storm, but is expected to expand his brand by making more appearances in the red carpet and making the most of the celebrity melting pot that is L.A. to cash-in on even more opportunities.

Stephen Curry (No. 24 in the list) and Kevin Durant (No. 43) of the Golden State Warriors also cracked the top-50, earning $76.9 million and $53.7 million respectively in this past year.
