It was a bittersweet playoff comeback for LeBron James on Tuesday night as his Los Angeles Lakers bowed down to the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of their playoff series. The four-time MVP had a huge night though for the Lakers finishing with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 16 assists in their 93-100 loss against the Blazers. With the monster stat line, James becomes the first player since 1965 to record a 20/15/15 game.

Unfortunately, LeBron's amazing performance ended up with an L as Damian Lillard and his team edged out the Lakers.

The King would definitely trade any of those stats for a win but nevertheless, LeBron James still ends up once again in the history books with his incredible triple-double performance.

LeBron has been one of the main facilitators for the Lakers this season as he currently leads the league in assists with 10.2 a game. He's been the anchor of the Purple and Gold's offense and this was fully in play once again tonight as he tallied a game-high of 16 assists. Obviously, his 17 rebounds to go alongside 23 points were also huge for the Lakers but ultimately wasn't enough for his squad.

The King was back in the playoffs after missing the post-season last year in his debut season with the Purple & Gold and individually, he was definitely locked in. James put his team on his broad shoulders but ultimately fell short against the Blazers as the Lakers' shooting woes in Orlando continue. Coming into the game, the Lakers are last in three-point FG% with a miserable 29.8 shooting clip.

Look for LeBron and the rest of the Lakers to bounce back for Game 2 on Thursday.
