LeBron James remains sidelined for the Los Angeles Lakers due to an ankle ailment and he's beginning to have withdrawals of the basketball variety. With James continuing his recovery, James tweeted on Sunday morning that he's missing the feeling of playing basketball amid his injury.

Missing games hasn't been a common theme for James in his illustrious career in the NBA. Aside from a groin injury that held him out for 27 games in his first year with the Lakers in 2018-2019, James hasn't missed more than 13 games in a single season.

For the most part, the games that James has missed in his career have been due to rest or a minor injury where he missed a game here or there. But James recently suffered a high-ankle sprain and is expected to miss multiple weeks of action.

There is no set timetable for him to return to the lineup and Los Angeles has been struggling to win games without James and Anthony Davis in the lineup. Davis is also dealing with an ankle injury that is affecting his Achilles, which is why the Lakers have been cautious with his return.

Before sustaining a freak ankle injury, James was being discussed as a possible MVP candidate in his 18th season in the league. LeBron James’ stats have sorely been missed, as he's logging 25.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game while shooting an efficient 51.3 percent from the field. While the Lakers miss having James available on the court, the longtime forward is also itching to get back with his teammates soon.
