The road thus far for four-time NBA champion LeBron James has been far from simple but for some reason, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has made it look easy. He's been able to bring multiple teams to the NBA Finals and no matter who was around him, it seemed as though any LeBron James-led team had a decent shot of winning the last game of the season.

After missing last year's playoffs in his first season in Los Angeles, James admitted that all the doubts and criticisms thrown at him over the past two seasons motivated him to win it all again this year.

“I think personally, thinking I had something to prove fuels me. And it fueled me over these last year and a half since my injury.” James said when asked about his tough journey towards his fourth NBA crown (per NBA TV).

“It fueled me because no matter what I've done in my career up to this point there's still a little rumblings of doubt or comparing me to the history of the game. Having that in my head and having that in my mind, saying to myself ‘why not still have something to prove', I think it fuels me.” he added.

Though he's undoubtedly loved by many, James is probably one of the most hated players in the league in recent history. Somehow, his success has been overshadowed with unending criticism and non-stop doubt. Even when he ends up winning a title, haters still find a way to throw some shade and downplay his greatness.

But, with yet another title under his belt, it'll be very difficult now to understate James' legacy.

If it's not clear yet, LeBron James is still the best player in the NBA right now and it seems as though that title will remain until someone successfully dethrones him. And, if you still continue to doubt the man, look for him to continuously prove you wrong.
