The Los Angeles Lakers are never out of the headlines. Take a bow, Alex Caruso. But recently, Lakers legend Magic Johnson gave suggestions for his beloved team after a premature exit in the NBA Playoffs.

Quite predictably, Magic singled out LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The two All-Stars are the cornerstones of the squad and in an appearance on ESPN's KJZ on Tuesday, Magic said LeBron and Davis might want to rethink their respective roles (via Lakers Nation).

“Give LeBron (James) and (Anthony Davis) a shooter. And also, tell AD he’s going to have to play more center now. You can’t allow him to say, ‘Hey man I don’t want to play center.’ No no no no no, first of all you’re with the Lakers and we’re trying to win. And for me, I would move LeBron back down, we’re asking him to do too much. You can’t ask LeBron to be the point guard. That means you’re working hard, you’re bringing the ball up, getting everybody into the offense, so when can LeBron rest? You have to understand we want LeBron fresh for the playoffs. So let somebody else bring it to him.”

Even though Magic has been mocked for his thoughts, he sure knows how to win titles, giving the Lakers five championships in his stellar career.

The team struggled with LeBron and AD riddled by various injuries all season, and recalibrating their place in the Lakers' system might be a feasible plan.

Perhaps the only question remains for Lakers fans: Do you believe in Magic Johnson?
