A Los Angeles Lakers offseason is not complete without the usual fan-induced trade buzz regardless of the logic. The 2021 edition of this annual La La Land tradition just received a heavy dose of vitriol thanks to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

This makes Russell Westbrook the likely subject of the next wave of jersey swaps for the Lakers.

Let's first indulge ourselves in the thought of seeing Westbrook, James, and Davis all donning the Lakers' colors. Such a triumvirate could rival some of the greatest Big 3s ever concocted in NBA history, at least, on paper.

James and Westbrook are both elite playmakers who have the ability to take over games. Davis is a monster on both ends with talent that screams soon-to-be MVP granted the Lakers keep on winning with him being healthy.

The Lakers found themselves shorthanded on several occasions this season so Westbrook's presence gives the team a supercharged third gear. He's proven capable of carrying depleted rosters to the postseason so one can only imagine the immense potential of this fantasy Big 3.

Then again, reality has to hit at some point. It will take a successful hail mary attempt for the Lakers if they are to come up with an enticing offer to the Washington Wizards. Wiggling through the cap is another giant hurdle. If the Lakers happen to figure this out, the next on their plate would be chemistry.

The odds of this happening aren't high. But it's also inadvisable to close the door in this scenario. Westbrook is from Southern California and his championship window isn't getting any bigger.

All these for a couple of Instagram follows.
