LeBron James will miss the Los Angeles Lakers road matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday as he continues to nurse a sore right ankle. Anthony Davis is questionable with knee soreness.

The OKC game will be the second leg of the Lakers' first back-to-back of the season. LeBron also missed the team's overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. In the second quarter of the Lakers' win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, James hit the deck and was down for over a minute after Grizzlies forward Desmond Bane collided into his ankle.

After the game, James admitted to having flashbacks of last March, when he suffered a sprained ankle on a similar interaction with Atlanta Hawks forward Solomon Hill. The injury caused James to miss 20 games and plagued him well into the summer.

He was initially listed as “probable” for the Spurs game, then was downgrade to questionable, then out.

Late in the fourth quarter in San Antonio, Davis knocked knees with a Spurs player and crashed to the floor. Afterward, said he got a “little stinger” and credited adrenaline with getting him through the rest of the game. He wasn't sure how his knee would feel after a flight to OKC and a night of rest (and treatment).

The Lakers will return home for a matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

Wayne Ellington (hamstring strain) is also listed as questionable for the Lakers. He dressed for the first time all season on Tuesday but didn't play vs. the Spurs.
