The status for Lakers stars Lebron James and Anthony Davis are mixed. Lakers fans will be happy to hear that King James is back after his one game suspension, but AD has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful to out. Los Angeles Lakers reporter Harrison Faigen tweeted the news, stating that AD's illness is getting worse.

Davis took over for James in Tuesday night's matchup in New York. Despite his illness, Davis played 34 minutes, recording 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Lakers fell to the Knicks 106-100 even with AD's valiant effort.

Tonight, it looks like James will have to work overtime to make up for his time he missed yesterday. King James is looking to bounce back from his first ever NBA suspension tonight with a win against the Pacers. A win tonight would put the Lakers at an even 0.500 record of 10-10. A loss would drop them even farther below sea level.

The 8-11 Indiana Pacers are going for their third win in a row after beating the Pelicans at home and the Bulls in Chicago.

Tonight's matchup without AD will be a true test of James' ability to show up for his team after his suspension. This isn't the first time Davis has been out with an injury this season, so James should be prepared. AD averaged 24.3 points, 3.1 assists, and 10.3 rebounds per game so far this season. Not having these numbers is a huge, 6'10” hole in the Lakers game plan tonight.
