Los Angeles Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have courtside seats for Zion Williamson's Summer League debut on Friday against the New York Knicks, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

Technically, Davis is still a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. The trade between the Lakers and Pelicans is set to become official on Saturday:

Zion Williamson is drawing the same amount of buzz LeBron James did back when he was a rookie in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. All eyes are going to be on Williamson when the ball goes up for the Pelicans-Knicks game.

This offseason has been a whirlwind. Some thought Anthony Davis might stay with the Pelicans after they won the draft lottery. However, Davis was hell-bent on getting traded to the Lakers so he could play with James. The Pelicans got a tremendous haul for Davis. David Griffin acquired Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks.

The Lakers are waiting to see if Kawhi Leonard will join them in free agency. A Big 3 of LeBron, Leonard and Davis would be nearly impossible to stop. For now, though, all eyes are going to be on Williamson on Friday to see how he performs in his first NBA game.
