In perhaps one of his rare vulnerable moments, LeBron James recently posted a heartfelt apology to the Los Angeles Lakers fans for how their season has turned out. It came on the heels of an embarrassing rout to the Denver Nuggets, adding to the already topsy-turvy situation of the proud squad.

For what it's worth, LeBron could be hardly blamed for the Lakers' struggles. He's been the only consistent guy over the past few weeks despite being terribly undersized at center. In fact, his numbers have gone up, making him among the MVP contenders yet again.

Still, LBJ felt like he needed to take responsibility. His gesture wasn't lost on Lakers coach Frank Vogel, who's also bearing the brunt of the heavy criticisms (via The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears).

Prior to their meeting with the Utah Jazz on Monday, the Lakers are below .500 with a 21-22 win-loss slate. Vogel has struggled to find the right combinations and the compounding woes of Russell Westbrook don't help either. Not to mention, Anthony Davis is set to miss more games due to his groin injury.

LeBron is no stranger to carrying teams, but it looks like he's having the hardest time with the Lakers this season. But ever the optimistic leader, he vowed that things will get better.

And if there's one lesson we've all learned through the years, it's not wise to bet against The King.
