Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James may have further solidified his case for the GOAT conversation against Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan after winning the fourth championship ring of his career in the 2020 NBA Finals. However, actor and NBA fan Michael Rapaport served a hot take when he recently joined Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on UNDISPUTED to discuss the Lakers' championship run.

“He’s not the greatest player of all time. He might not be better than Magic Johnson. Michael Jordan is the only NBA GOAT,” Michael Rapaport said about the two Lakers legends and Michael Jordan.

The four-time NBA MVP in James delivered another masterclass performance all throughout the 2020 NBA Playoffs where his team entered the Orlando bubble with the first seed in the Western Conference via a 49-14 record.

He picked up where he left off before the restart and continued to lead from the forefront of the team as they defeated the surging Portland Trail Blazers, 4-1, in the first round of the playoffs. The Lakers advanced to the Western Semi-Finals with a matchup against the Houston Rockets which ended on an identical 4-1 series outcome.

The Lakers eventually faced an unexpected opponent in the Denver Nuggets for a Finals berth. The Western Conference Finals matchup then concluded on a 4-1 note in favor of the Los Angeles-based team. James and his squad were then pitted against the underdog Miami Heat where they eventually won the franchise's 17th crown in Game 6 of the championship series.

After successfully living up to the high billing, the Lakers are looking to run it back and aim for their 18th championship while LeBron James will hope to snag the fifth ring of his career next season. Perhaps Michael Rapaport, among many basketball fans, will have a different opinion regarding the GOAT conversion by the time the Ohio native decides to call it a career.
