Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James believes he and his teammates will start knocking down free-throws sooner rather than later.

James, who has missed a few clutch free-throws this season, is shooting just 73.6 percent from the free-throw line entering Wednesday.

“Just continue to work on it,” James said at Wednesday’s shootaround, via Lakers Nation. “I think all of us, we continue to work on it every day.

“I think it will continue to improve with more and more times we get up to the free throw line. It’s just about going up there and knocking them down. That’s from myself all the way to everyone else.”

LeBron James has never shot at least 80 percent from the free-throw line during his legendary NBA career. It's one of the big weaknesses of his game. Many believe James' poor free-throw shooting is a big reason why he doesn't attack the paint during crunch time due to his fear of going to the free-throw line.

Other than his free-throw woes, LeBron James is having another stellar season. In his first year with the Lakers, the four-time MVP is averaging 26.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game while shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from beyond the arc.

James and the Lakers host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Los Angeles is looking for its fourth win in a row.
