LeBron James celebrated his 37th birthday on Thursday, and the Los Angeles Lakers superstar made sure to not leave anyone out of his appreciation message.

James is arguably the most polarizing superstar in NBA history. The number of cheers and jeers directed towards him throughout the years are almost at par with each other. It's safe to assume that the love coming from his critics served as fuel for James to prove the doubters wrong, so the future Hall of Famer decided to mention the “haters” in his birthday message.

LeBron James' body of work throughout the years is simply astonishing. The accolades and statistical feats are already teeming. And the way he's been keeping his body in tip-top shape suggests that there are more of these coming.

James is only a few days removed from reaching 36,000 points for his career. At this rate, he may very well break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time record and even go for 40,000 career points. To make things sweeter, the 10,000-rebound and assist marks are also well within reach.

After all the celebration, LeBron James will have to face reality once more. The Lakers are struggling in spite of the gaudy stats he's been putting up. Los Angeles, as of writing, owns the seventh seed in the Western Conference. They're only 1.5 games ahead of the 10th-placed Minnesota Timberwolves, and momentum isn't on their side after losing five of their last six contests.

All these struggles are giving his haters more ammo, but history tells that it's not wise to bet against LeBron James.
