Los Angeles Lakers beat writer Harrison Faigen retweeted a screenshot of LeBron James' media availability Zoom call wherein the 15-time All-Star was seen sitting on a lush red “throne” while he’s receiving post-game therapy.

King James sure knows how to take the stage.

When the joke was pointed out to the four-time MVP, he simply laughed and said:

“Absolutely not. It's one of these hallway chairs everybody sits in.”

But next on the call was his present coach Frank Vogel, whose chair did not look anywhere near nor as grand as the King’s.

According to Lakers reporter Kyle Goon, LeBron leaned in on the throne joke and even offered the throne to his coach.

“Hey coach (Vogel), you can sit on the throne for the day.”

But alas, the “throne” was still taken away from Vogel despite the blessing of the King.

The Lakers lead the Western Conference with 49-48. They won two out of their three scheduled scrimmages inside the Bubble, only losing by four points against the Mavericks. They are set to resume their season on Thursday, July 30 against the Clippers.

Who knows? If they win this season’s championship, perhaps each Laker would get a chance to sit on the throne. But for now, it stays with The King.
