Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is dishing another assist, this one in collaboration with Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Ladder Sports supplements.

Prior to the opening kickoff of Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ESPN's Adam Schefter shared a brief video on Twitter teasing an upcoming message to Cleveland from James and Garrett.

The message simply writes: “Cleveland, this is for you” followed by the two star athlete's names and the logo for Ladder Sports. Schefter said their message will be released on Friday.

Along with actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron co-founded Ladder Supplements in 2018.

In 2020, James and Schwarzenegger sold Ladder to fitness platform Openfit. LeBron continues to be a brand ambassador (you can see him heavily featured on the homepage of the company's website).

According to Ladder's “About Us” page, the genesis for the company was James' famous muscle cramps in the 2014 NBA Finals — an issue that plagued him multiple times earlier in his career. As a result, James and his trainer, Mike Mancias, began developing their own sports performance products.

“After pushing my body to its limits season after season, I needed a different level of supplements that I could trust to complement my workouts and aid in the recovery process,” the Lakers forward said in a statement following the sale. “With Ladder, we achieved that. We were able to work with experts to create an incredible line of certified, high caliber supplements for all athletes, but we always recognized that is just one part of the process.

“Now with the reach and resources of the Openfit platform, we’re excited about bringing this all together and creating a new level of training and nutrition that fits everyone’s individual needs,” James added.

Whatever LeBron has been taking — it's working. James, as you probably know, remains one of the world's premier athletes at age 36 entering his 19th NBA season. His dedication and financial investment in his body is the stuff of legend.

Garrett recently said that he wants to become the “LeBron James” of the Browns. Garrett, a two-time Pro Bowler, led the Browns with 12 sacks in 2020.
